Hosted by Patty Lyons (yep, that’s me!), AffiKNITy was created to be a retreat where every knitter feels welcome. Whether you’ve been knitting for 2 months or 20 years, whether you’re traveling alone or with a group of friends, whether you like to be in class all day or have a ton of free time . . . this is the retreat for you.

Meet Your Teachers
Drum roll, please…
We’re thrilled to announce our 2027 teacher lineup. Get ready to learn from four incredible instructors who bring decades of combined expertise to the retreat.
Kate Atherley
Best-selling author, Knitty.com’s Managing Technical Editor, and a teacher known for her precision and clarity. Kate has written ten books (and edited an eleventh), and she has a gift for turning tricky knitting math and construction into something totally manageable.
Faina Goberstein
A former college math teacher, Faina writes patterns that are clear, supportive, and friendly for knitters of every level. She loves seeing each student bring their own creativity to a project, and her classes are all about building confidence one stitch at a time.
Joji Locatelli
A beloved knitwear designer known for wearable, elegant patterns and a warm, approachable teaching style. Joji has a devoted following for good reason: her classes are as much about joy as they are about skill-building.
Mary Jane Mucklestone
A designer, author, and self-described knitting adventurer known for her mastery of stranded colorwork. Mary Jane has written multiple books on Fair Isle knitting and travels the world teaching and exploring knitting traditions, bringing that same spirit of curiosity into every class.
Full class descriptions and schedules are coming soon, so stay tuned.
